There are those who don’t believe in the existence
of Satan, devils and demons. The Bible describes
them as real spirit beings and entities with real,
tangible power to influence and affect people and
events on earth. These are not human beings but
evil spirits that oppose God and His works. Paul
describes them in Ephesians 6:12 as rulers,
authorities, the powers who govern this world of
darkness, and spiritual forces that control evil in
the heavenly world.’ [GW] At the helm of this list
is Satan their master. Their power is in their
strategy. And their strategy is to deceive,
manipulate, and control nations and events by
controlling human beings. Their primary aim is to
steal, kill and destroy what God has done.
However, they are not a match for God.
First and foremost, after the resurrection of Jesus
Christ, He went to hell, having defeated Satan on
the cross, and wrested the keys of hell and death
from him. Then with ultimate authority, Jesus
declared: ‘I am he that liveth, and was dead; and,
behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen ’ and added
‘and [I] have the keys of hell and of death.
Revelation 1:18. With these keys in His
possession, He becomes ‘the head of all
principality and power:’ Colossians 2:10. He is
not just their head; He is also seated in the
heavenlies, ‘Far above all principality, and power,
and might, and dominion, and every name that is
named, not only in this world, but also in that
which is to come:’ Ephesians 1:21. Satan and all
of his agents are not just subject to Jesus Christ;
they are under His feet! That was Paul’s
revelation to the churches at Ephesus.
Is that your personal revelation, too? If it were,
then it wouldn’t be easy to understand what
Jesus Christ meant when He told His disciples
‘All power is given unto me in heaven and in
earth.’ Matthew 28:18. Whether it is in heaven or
on this earth, ultimate power rests in Jesus
Christ. What would you do with this power? This
power is to undo whatever Satan has done. ‘For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that
he might destroy the works of the devil.’ 1John
3:8. The works of the devil include sin, sickness,
diseases, death, satanic oppression, manipulation,
shame, stagnation, barrenness, curses, and
whatever evil Satan can cause. Are you
encumbered by any of these devices of the devil?
The best person to meet is Jesus Christ. His
remedy has no side effects. His rate of success is
100%
Second, even before He had died, He called His
disciples and ‘gave them power and authority
over all devils, and to cure diseases.’ Luke 9:1.
And afterwards, ‘the seventy returned again with
joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto
us through thy name.’ Luke 10:17. In all, He had
commanded them ‘Heal the sick, cleanse the
lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils:’ Matthew
10:8. In so doing, He was actually telling them to
exercise complete authority over, and release from
bondage anyone Satan or his agents have held
bound by sickness, leprosy, death or evil
possession and oppression. And just before His
ascension, He gave us commandments. He said;
[you] cast out devils; speak with new tongues; lay
hands on the sick, and they shall recover. And if
you take up serpents or drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt you! Mark 16:17, 18. You see, if
you don’t have any personal revelation of Jesus
as having all power and authority over Satan or
his agents, it would be impossible to exercise
such authority over them. You need this spiritual
revelation of Jesus as seated far above ALL rule
and power and that EVERY FORCE in heaven or
on earth has been put under His feet!
