Why Do We Blame God?

Why Do We Blame God?

If we would be honest, Christians and non-Christians do not want to know the truth that sets them free. Human beings would rather blame God for all their problems. We play the blame game. We are really driven by our ego ways of living. We can barely carry out our human responsibilities let alone try to live the Godly life that Jesus Christ wants from us. Somehow people have come to the conclusion that they are able to do all things on our own without the help of God. Then, why do we blame God? The answer comes from the following verse.
Hosea 4:6 KJV: 6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou have rejected knowledge, I will reject thee

A Book of Knowledge

Where do we get this knowledge? You get it from the Bible. The Bible is not a book that you put on a book shelf so that you can say: “I have a Bible”. Polls have showed that many people have a Bible but they hardly ever look at what it says. Today, their schedule is so busy with worldly activities that they don’t have the time.  In other words, we don’t want the responsibility of knowing the truth. It is easier to blame God or someone else for our lack of knowledge.
The Bible is a book of knowledge. It gives us instructions on how to walk in faith, how to overcome our temptations, how to pray and get answers to our prayers, and everything else that we encounter in this life. God has already given to us what we need in order to survive in this world. He has provided a way for us to live, it’s called His Word. For those that have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, God has given them the Holy Spirit to guide and intercede for them. The Holy Spirit resides in your body which is His temple. All of this is found in the Bible. To know what it says you have to read and study it.

Verses of Knowledge

The bible has more to say regarding our lack of knowledge. The following verses gives us further advice.
Ephesians 1:17-21 – That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Romans 10:17 – So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Isaiah 5:13 – Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
John 8:32 – And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Luke 11:28 – But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
You may be thinking that it so hard to be a Christian. I just don’t have the time. The problem lies within ourselves, whether it be because of pride, ignorance, unbelief or some other reason you are convinced of. What are you focused on? Is it on yourself and what “I” want or should you focus on what Jesus wants? The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ. God is not to blame for our troubles although that is what the Devil wants you to believe. We all have a lot learn, including myself. No one living or dead has full knowledge except the Lord Jesus. I plead with you that you don’t continue on the road of ignorance, but bring Jesus into your by making Him your Lord and Savior. Then pick up the Bible and begin to learn about the love of God and all the promises (over 4000 of them) He has given to you. You need to walk in Faith as you let Jesus led you. You will be blessed over and over. Love to all.
