Today's devotion. Soul Food

BITTER TO SWEET
(METAMORPHOSIS)
#SOULFOOD
Wednesday June 17, 2015.

Marah, about 22 km inland from the Red Sea, is located side-by-side Elim in the Wilderness of Shur. Israel began her journey on Sunday, spent three days, Monday - Wednesday, travelling to Marah. From the Straits of Tiran it is 67 km, and 36 km from Jethro's home town of Midian. The entire area is a wilderness and no water. The only water turned to be “bitter”; from Hebrew word for “marah”.

On sight of the river, after three days of thirst, they heaped a sigh of relief. They all complained when the water turned bitter. This showed that their hopes were dashed. They would need to walk another distance to get water, but God sweetened the water by casting a tree into it. They also received a word of immunity from all diseases of Egyptians from the Lord.

Many of us have walked a long distance with the Lord but ended up in disappointment. Many have found no hopes anymore. Many have believed in God’s word for several years, or His promises, only to come to a place of discouragement.

But I tell you there is hope. The Lord is about to turn your bitterness into sweetness. He is about to grant you refreshment on every side. Don’t give up child of God, you will metamorphose you from bitterness to sweetness.

TODAY, I declare that all your bitterness, disappointments, confusions, near-success-syndrome have come to an end in Jesus name, Amen!

(Prayers for you still ongoing).
